Purple Hooter cocktail recipe?
I was at a bar and asked for a nice vodka drink. The bartender made me a purple hooter…but it wasn’t a shot, it was a full 8-12oz. drink. Does anyone have the recipe for that? I’m only finding shooter recipes…
I know it had vodka, club soda and chambord…may have had some other stuff, not sure of amounts, etc.
There are a million different ways to make a purple hooter. Basically it is a twist on a Kamikaze (vodka, triple sec and lime juice), in fact I’ve heard it called a “purple-kami” before.
Just replace the lime juice with any type of grape, blackberry, or raspberry liquor. The guy you ordered it from was using chambord which is a raspberry liqueur. I use UV grape. I’ve also used blackberry brandy in a pinch, but doesn’t turn out very good.
Just add club soda or 7up to make the shooter recipe’s into drinks.
