I need a recipe for jello shots. Never made them before only had them. I think they are great. I also was looking for some drinks that I can make with Rum, Vodka, tequila and Whiskey. Were having people over and I don’t want to buy alcohol that my husband and I don’t normally drink or use. So rum, vodka, and whiskey we always have in our freezer (kinda just sitting away)
So I was wondering what we can mix with them. Make a good drink with the alcohol listed. The rum is dark rum too.
and if this isn’t in the correct place, might you suggest a better place to put this question for better answers.
I am making Jell-O shots tomorrow nigt for my B Day party! It’s really easy:
Just follow the package instructions on teh Jell-O. Just replace the cold water with chilled liquor. I also don’t add as much liquor (usually 3/4 c instead of 1 c.). You can buy the small plastic shot cups at a food service place like Gordon Food Service (if there’s one by you). If you are making a lot (I’m making about 150-200 this weekend!), start by boiling a large pot of water (the biggest one you have) and keep it boiling. Then have 2 (1 cup) measuring cups available- one for the liquor, one for the boiling water. While you’re waiting for the water to boil, get a couple of trays ready with the shot cups and make room in the fridge, if necessary. Start with the lightest colored Jell-O first. Put the package of gelatin in a mixing bowl (one with a pouring spout is best), then add the boiling water and stir till the gelatin is dissolved. Add in the chilled liquor and then pour into the shot cups. Then put the next lightest colored package of Jell-O into the bowl and repeat till all of your Jell-O is gone. If you do it in order of the lightest Jell-O to the darkest, you won’t have to wash the bowl out in between batches. Put the shots in the fridge till set. I can usually make about 150 shots in about half an hour doing it this way. You can give them a headstart by putting them in the freezer for a few minutes, but not too long cause the’ll freeze pretty quickly. I also like to have a can of whipped cream handy for those who like it on their Jell-O shots.
