Summer Drink Recipes With Wine
How long will White wine last for cooking after it’s been opened?
I am making a recipe that calls for 2 tablespoons of white wine (here’s the link (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-laurentiis/fusilli-with-shrimp-orange-and-arugula-summer-recipe/index.html).
I won’t drink the wine so I want to know if it will last for further recipe’s. Even if I buy the small bottles there will be a lot left over and I am not going to use “cooking wine” because I don’t like what it does to my food. If it will keep how should I store it? I will be using it exclusively for cooking.
Or – does anyone know what a good substitute would be in this particular recipe?

likely a few months at least. You arn’t using it as a drinking wine, so you don’t really have to have the cleanest, freshest wines.
i would always taste it and make sure it looks good before adding it the next time, but as long as you sealed it again, the worst thing that could happen is it would turn into on of those ‘cooking’ wines or a vinegar.
