Summer Cocktail Recipes Ice
WANTED: Pitcher size drink/cocktail recipe for 10 people?
I’m going to a 4th of July party and I’m looking for a “Summer drink” recipe- preferably something easy to transport. I was thinking Sangria, but is it possible to set that up at someone else’s house easily, without ice, fruit, etc? Or is there a simple recipe I could make in a gallon-serve pitcher and just set it out for all the guests?
Also, I should add that the guests are mostly older adults, so the usual “trash can punch” we make for our friends probably wouldn’t fly!
I would highly suggest Sangria. Hey, you can’t please everyone, and I’m sure you aren’t supplying the only drink. It’s so easy to make. Pop it all in a small cooler. The fruit you can keep chilled in a ziploc or tupperware and bring with you all cut up. I wouldn’t hesitate to grab a space on your host’s counter, pour the chilled wine in the pitcher, add the fruit, stir and let it sit for a bit. If you have a large enough pitcher, prepare some ahead all ready to serve and fix the rest ready to be served. Oh and I’ve frozen some of the fruit as I’d never put ice in Sangria. Hope this helps
