I love ouzo. Do you love it too? How do you like to drink it?
Ouzo – the Greek anise spirit – is so yummy. It’s my all time fave, especially in summer. It never gives me a hangover, either. But every time I buy a bottle from the bottlo it’s covered in dust… so I guess it’s not very popular. I love it with tonic water and/or lemon. The bitter edge so finely compliments the fresh licorice-tasting sweetness. Tonight I’m having it with ginger ale… it’s OK. Maybe a spritz of soda and cranberry juice would be good.
Are there any cocktail recipes with ouzo?
I used to love it until I drank to much one night, since then I have never touched it. Ouzo and Pepsi is what I used to drink with plenty of ice. Yes there are many cocktails that use Ouzo.
One that I liked was equal parts of Dry Cinzanno and Ouzo in a tall glass and fill with 1/2 Soda water and 1/2 Lemonade.
Very refreshing on a hot day.
