Simple Mixed Drink Recipes
Has anyone mixed drinks with Homemade Simple Syrup when hot?
I’m making Homemade Simple Syrup using a recipe online which calls for boiling water and sugar. But i won’t have time to chill it so i’m wondering if any negative effects will happen if i shake the cocktail (of course with the mix and ice in a shaker) while the syrup is still hot.
Corvato’s right, it’ll ruin your drink by watering it down with the melted ice. 
Chill the syrup in the freezer or in ice water, it’s worth the wait. If you can not wait – definitely just use sugar (muddle with fruit if using any) or even sweetener that will dissolve more easily.
