Slow Cooking Recipes – Volume 3
In previous volumes of slow cooker recipes that we've covered the savory dishes and desserts through a slow cooker. This volume presents the wonderful recipes for pot drinks. hot cider, fruit punch, hot chocolate are just some of the recipes included in this article. Hope you like!
Hot Chocolate
Ingredients:
3 cups milk powder
1 cup powdered sugar
3 / 4 cup cocoa powder
1 / 4 teaspoon salt cup
2 tablespoons teaspoon vanilla
1 / 2 cup chocolate syrup
1 / 2 cup cream powder (substitute)
7 cups water
Marshmallows and candy canes
Getting There:
In a saucepan, mix milk powder, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, salt, vanilla, chocolate syrup and cream. Mix well with the addition of water, while gradually. Place lid on the pot and bring to heat. Cook for a total of four hours, stirring once after the first two hours. Stir well before serving, pour into cups with marshmallows and candy canes for stirring.
Apple cider Standard
Ingredients:
1 / 2 cup light brown sugar
Two quarts of apple
1 teaspoon teaspoon peppercorns
1 1 / 2 c. teaspoon cloves
3 whole cinnamon sticks
2 large oranges (sliced)
Getting There:
Place apple juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, pepper, cloves, and oranges in the slow cooker. Stir until brown sugar has dissolved. Cover and cook on low heat setting about three or four hours. Make sure the voltage of the spices before serving.
Cherry Cider Spice
Ingredients:
3 1 / 2 gallon apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks
2 (3 ounce) cherry gelatin
Getting There:
Pour apple cider into the pot. Add cinnamon sticks and cover. Set over high heat and cook for three hours. Stir mixture while adding cherry gelatin. Bake for one hour to dissolve the gelatin. Keep hot cider simmer and stir well before serving.
Heated fruit punch
Ingredients:
8 cups water
1 (6 ounce) can lemonade concentrate frozen (thawed)
1 (12 ounce) cranberry-raspberry juice concentrate, frozen (thawed)
1 / 2 cup sugar
1 / 4 cup teaspoon whole black pepper
4 cinnamon sticks
1 / 4 cup whole clove tea
Getting There:
Pour water, lemonade, cranberry juice and thawed raspberry, sugar, allspice, cinnamon sticks and cloves in the crock pot. If desired, you can put the spices in a gauze before placing in the pot, otherwise have to force the spices before serving. Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for three hours. Reduce heat to low. Remove spices if not tied in gauze. Stay heat and serve right from the pot.
Wassail
Ingredients:
6 cups apple juice
6 cups cranberry juice
6 cups orange juice
6 cups of lemonade
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups water
4 cinnamon sticks
1 orange (sliced)
1 tablespoon teaspoon whole Clove
1 teaspoon teaspoon Angostura bitters
2 cups rum extract
Getting There:
Pour the apple juice, orange juice, lemonade, cranberry juice, water, cinnamon sticks, orange slices, sugar, cloves, and Angostura bitters in the slow cooker. Located in an environment low temperature and cook for about seven hours. Add rum extract just before serving. Remove cloves, orange slices and cinnamon before serving.
