I’ve got a bottle of Hennessy Paradis…..?
…..for when my Finnish friends come over. They love the stuff. I think it flows in their blood.
However, I prefer it mixed with something.
Do you have a favorite drink recipe for cognac?
I don’t think cognac mixes well with regular mixers like coke, sprite, cranberry, etc. Off the top of my head I know 2 cognac cocktails that are not only classic but also delicious.
Sidecar:
Cognac
triple sec (like a cointreau or gran marnier)
fresh lemon juice
toss in a shaker and shake it up
put a sugar rim on the glass, serve it up or on the rocks and you have yourself a great drink

dusting of chocolate or nutmeg (optional)
shake and serve in a martini glass
