Hamster abuse – save the HAMS! [PART ONE]?
I was at a Meijers in early June (07). I witnessed a baby Dwarf being murdered by a much older Dwarf. His face was totaly eatendestroyed. It was sickening. I tryed to get help for him. It took over an hour for help to come. My mother and I have both complained to the store, and are going to file reports. Isn’t that sick? How dumb are petstorescarriers? Allowing small,small babies in a cage with adults from a different family? Disater recipe. It is so sickening, than Friday night i cryed all night. I couldn’t hold my two hamsters for days. It just felt weird, thinking of how mad they could go. I can’t get the picture out of my mind; not for anything. i can hardly eat,sleep,or drink till soemthing is done to SAVE THE HAMS! There were a group of hams all the save size, as the grey one (murdered) about nine of them and two large white ones. You can tell they wern’t related.
PLUS there was no FOOD and NO WATER BOTTLE int eh cage. And the cage was less than 1ft on each side.
You can call the ASPCA and complain about the lack of food, water, and adequate housing. I have done this to pet stores many times. I don’t care what kind of animal it is- I have called to complain about the conditions of fish tanks, snake cages, whatever. You may have to make more than one complaint, but if you are persistant, some one will come to check it out.
