drink recipes absinthe
I bought a bottle of absinthe how many shots before it works?

I bought a bottle of absinthe, name brand : “lucid”

it says that it is the original/historic recipe and has the correct amount of “wormwood” in it
I made 2 drinks according to directions and there was nothing, well maybe the alcohol buzz was there, but no psychedelics. what gives?

supposedly it is legal now and supposed to be full strength
do I need to drink 5-6 drinks?
i didn’t know it tastes like liquorice………….it is sooo strong tasting
i don’t want 5-6 drinks of this stuff it is FIRE!!!!!
give me bombay Sapphire

As much as they say it is their original recipe, they like to lie. America gets the watered down version of pretty much every liquor product. The 62% alcohol content only hides the fact that they use far less wormwood in the American version. At least it is finally legal. You can import a real bottle from Europe now to taste the true recipe.

But, to activate the psychadelic effects of absinthe, you need to add a very poisonous and deadly substance to cube of sugar, then burn it before adding water. You can do your own research about that.

Basically, it’s a load of BS anyways. Vincent Van Gogh and Edgar Allen Poe were said to have gone crazy from drinking absinthe, but they were raging alcoholics who would drink anything put in front of them regardless.
