Cocktail Recipes Using Gin
Cocktail recipes call for ounces of xxx, but I only have measurements for TBLS, tsp, ml, etc.?
I don’t have a scale to measure ounces. I only have your typical measuring spoons, a jigger, measuring cups, etc. but nothing for weight. For eg., how much is 2 oz. of lemon juice or 1 oz. of syrup or 3 oz. of gin…? How do you measure this using measuring spoons or a jigger (basically, how does volume relate to weight for these different liquids?). Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!
Those are fluid ounces, not weight
2 Tbl.= 1 oz.
3 tsp.=1 Tbl
6 tsp= 1 oz.
Jigger typically 1.5 oz.
shot: depends on where you are . Pony Shot = 1oz.
2 oz.= 1/4 cup
