Rye

United States, "Rye Whisky" is, by law, made from a mash of Rye percent to at least 51. (The other components of the mass are usually corn and malted barley.) Is distilled to a maximum of 160 (U.S.) proof, and aged in charred oak barrels. The whiskey must be placed where drums of no more than 125 (U.S.) proof. Rye whiskey was so high for at least 2 years may also be designated as "right" as in "rye whiskey law."

The differences between rye and bourbon
Rye is known for giving what many call a spicy or fruity whiskey. Bourbon, distilled from corn at least 51%, is considerably softer, and tends to more body than the rye. Like bourbon gained popularity beyond the southern United States, the waiters is increasingly replaced by rye cocktails like whiskey sour, old-fashioned Manhattan, which were initially only with rye. All other things equal, the character of the cocktail will be drier, with rye.
U.S. distillers
Twenty U.S. distilleries produce different rye forties. Among them is a single malt produced by the Anchor Brewery in San Francisco, known as Old Potrero Single Malt Whisky, a rare whiskeys malt in the United States.
Canadian Distillers
About a dozen whiskey distillers Canadian rye do today. Only a few of the production of rye whiskey with a majority of the content, the most famous of Alberta Distillers "The Premium Alberta Alberta Springs and the Wise Old Rye Whisky, distilled along the shores of Lake Ontario. Popular Brands International and Canadian Club Canadian Whisky Crown Royal.
