Can cocktail drinks made with sparkling wine be made beforehand and served hours later?
I’m hosting a baby shower tomorrow, and came across a yummy recipe for Raspberry Champagne Cocktails that I would love to serve. The recipe calls for adding the sparkling wine (or champagne) to the liquor and raspberries as you serve it in the glasses, but I was wondering if there was any down side to pre-mixing everything in a large pitcher, making serving much more simple when it comes to party time? Will sparkling wine lose it’s fizz if it’s pre-mixed a few hours ahead of time?

You may want to mix everything together and add the sparkling wine right before you serve the drinks or before the shower starts. I think that would be the best way to keep the drink fizzy. It will lose the fizz if prepared hours before the shower starts.
