Cocktail Recipes Jungle Juice

Anybody care to share your favorite “jungle juice” kind of recipe?

In college, the guys used to make “The Recipe” and I recall it had fruit cocktail, Sloe Gin, Southern Comfort and stuff like that in it. Delicious.

The Scorpion

Ice in block form
One 750-milliliter bottle dark rum
2 ounces gin
2 ounces brandy
2 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice
2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
2 ounces orgeat syrup
1 cup fresh mint leaves
Orange slices for garnish

Add the ice to a large punch bowl. If using ice chucks instead of a block, fill the bowl only halfway.

Add everything else but the orange slices to the punch bowl. Stir well with a large spoon or Bowie knfe (it is a Scorpion, after all). Let sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.

Serve in golets, garnishing each with an orange slice. Or just get straws for everyone at the party and start sucking right out of the punch bowl. If you do the latter, throw the orange slices into the bowl.

Serves 10.
