Good drink recipes using a cocktail shaker?
I just invested in a nice shaker and would like to try my hand at making some moderately classy drinks instead of the usual Captain and coke. I have some orange rum at my disposal, as well as unflavored vodka. What are some recipes you recommend? If you have something that’s fantastic and doesn’t have either of those in it, still feel free to share!

you wouldn’t want to mix captian & coke in a shaker… since the carbonation in the coke would be released.
there are so many drinks, its hard to give you specifics, but you will need to get some sort of mixer, juice, or liquer in addition to your rum & vodka.
i would say start with a martini:
vodka, splash of vermouth, and garnish with a olive… or make it dirty by adding some olive brine to the shaker.
