Best Mixed Drink Recipes Ever
Anyone know a “Sangarita” Recipe…best mixed drink I ever had?
In Baytown, Texas, there is a mexican food restaurant called El Toro. Anyone who lives there will know it because its one of the best “Tex-Mex” restaurants there. Anyway, they have a drink called the Sangarita. That’s right Sangarita, not Sangrita or Sangria, but like a blend of Sangria and Margarita. It’s is one of the best mixed drinks I have ever tasted, and trust me, I’ve created a lot of alcoholic concoctions in my time. It is a blend of fruit juices, Jose Cuervo Platino, Gran Marnier, maybe some bottled Sangria, and maybe something else. It had a deep red/magenta hue to it. I’m throwing this question out there as an attempt to see if anyone knows the recipe (would be totally awesome if you are/were an El Toro Bartender, Kudos to you, but doesn’t matter if you weren’t) to this fabulous drink. I, in no way, have the money to spend for experimentation to get it right. You’d do me a huge favor since all my friends loved it as well and I could recreate it for them too.
make your favorite margarita, strain it into a martini glass, leaving a half inch or so. slowly pour a nice rioja or chianti over the lip of the glass so it floats. the wine will then pick up the flavors of the margarita and will taste like a sangria. you get the best of both worlds. as you drink through the sangria then into the margarita no salt needed. and it looks impressive at a party too
